Dearwing ("we") runs this store and the Dearwing app. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.
What we collect
- Order details: your name, email, shipping and billing address, phone number if you give one, and the items you buy.
- Your content: the photos and words you use to make a keepsake. When you make a keepsake, we prepare its print files and keep them privately, so it is ready to order; we use them only to produce and deliver your orders.
- Payment information: handled by our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser and pages visited, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
How we use it
To process payments, make and ship your order, send order and shipping emails, give support, prevent fraud, meet legal duties, and improve the store. We send marketing email only if you opt in, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Who we share it with
We share information with service providers that help us run the store: Shopify (store and checkout), our payment processor, our print and fulfilment partners (Printful and Printify), shipping carriers, and hosting and email providers. They may use your information only to provide their services. We do not exchange your personal information for money. Unless you opt out of advertising cookies or use a browser privacy signal, we also share advertising event data with Meta as described below.
Advertising cookies and Meta
We use the Meta Pixel to measure our ads and show relevant ads on Facebook and Instagram. Meta receives information such as your IP address, browser information, visited page addresses, cookie identifiers, and events such as viewing a product or starting checkout, together with product identifiers, quantities, prices and currency. When enabled at Shopify checkout, the pixel also records checkout completion and the order total. We do not include your keepsake photos, personal messages, shipping address or email in the advertising event fields we send.
Meta processes this information under its own Privacy Policy. This use may be considered sharing for targeted advertising under applicable privacy laws. Advertising cookies on the Dearwing app are enabled by default. You can opt out at any time using Cookie choices in Account or Store policies. Your choice is saved on this browser and does not automatically expire. We honour Global Privacy Control on the Dearwing app. Shopify checkout has its own customer privacy controls; manage your preferences there as well. Turning off advertising cookies does not prevent you from creating keepsakes or ordering.
Your choices
You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information by emailing service@dearwing.com. We may need to verify your identity and keep some records the law requires.
Retention and security
We keep information as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations and resolve disputes. No system is perfectly secure, but we use reasonable safeguards.
Children
Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this policy and will post the new version here with a new date.
